STARTORIO

This map follows data through the Startorio page: page delivery, typed signals, submitted searches, and messages sent to support.

System baseline

Startorio is delivered as a static browser interface. The version described here has no user accounts, first-party analytics script, advertising pixel, first-party cookies, saved query history, localStorage, or sessionStorage. Separate providers receive data only when the browser requests a suggestion, submits a search, delivers the page, or sends an email.

Node A / Page delivery

Infrastructure that serves Startorio may process ordinary connection details, including IP address, browser and device information, requested path, referrer, and timestamps. These details are inherent to delivering and protecting a website. The Startorio page does not add its own behavioral analytics layer.

Node B / URL inputs

The page checks its URL for subid, channel, and u. Missing subid and channel values resolve to 11118 and default. Startorio does not write those values to browser storage. They are used at the search-output stage described below.

Node C / Suggestion request

Once a query reaches two characters and input pauses for 250 milliseconds, the browser sends the current query text to api.datamuse.com/sug. The request asks Datamuse for no more than six word or phrase suggestions. Campaign values are not included.

Datamuse independently receives the query and technical connection data. It determines its logging, security, retention, and other processing under its own privacy materials. Startorio receives the returned words in the browser and displays them as optional suggestions.

Node D / Search output

Submitting a search creates a Queryvello URL and opens it in another tab. The URL contains:

  • the submitted query as keyword;
  • subid, channel, and u from the Startorio page URL or the stated defaults;
  • the constant value hp=1.

Queryvello also receives the technical details normally sent when a browser opens a web page. Queryvello is responsible for its own collection and downstream results environment. Avoid placing confidential or sensitive personal information in a query.

Node E / Direct messages

Emailing support@startorio.com provides the service operator and relevant communications provider with your sending address, message, metadata, and attachments. This material is used to diagnose an issue, answer or route the message, document legal or privacy requests, and protect the service. Do not transmit unnecessary secrets, passwords, or payment data.

Storage and deletion

The interface has no first-party database for accounts, saved searches, or analytics events. Support correspondence may remain available for the time reasonably needed to complete the conversation, document action taken, address abuse, or comply with legal duties, after which it may be deleted or de-identified. Hosting, Datamuse, Queryvello, and email providers set their own retention periods.

Transfers and disclosures

Data follows the nodes identified above. Service providers may support page delivery and email. Information may be disclosed to protect users or systems, respond to valid legal process, establish or defend legal rights, or complete a business restructuring with appropriate safeguards. Providers may operate internationally, so data can be processed where privacy rules differ from those in your location.

User controls

  • Do not type two characters if you do not want an autocomplete request sent.
  • Remove subid, channel, or u from the page URL before submitting a search if you do not want those supplied values forwarded.
  • Do not submit the form if you do not want the query sent to Queryvello.
  • Use browser privacy controls to manage technologies used on external pages.

Privacy rights channel

Privacy rights vary by location and can include access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, and the right to contact a supervisory authority. Send a request to support@startorio.com with the subject “Privacy request.” Enough information may be requested to authenticate and scope the request. Rights are honored to the extent applicable law requires.

Age boundary and security

Startorio is not designed for children under 13 and does not knowingly seek their personal information. Report a concern through the privacy channel. Reasonable measures can reduce risk for information under the operator’s control, but no web or email system is guaranteed secure.

Map revisions

This map will be revised if Startorio changes its data paths, providers, or obligations. The current effective date appears above. Questions about this policy or its data-flow description can be sent to support@startorio.com.
